The Passion for Revival

The "church" as a whole has lost it's desire and passion for revival. We are literally living in the very days that 2 Timothy 4 speaks about when it reads "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables." The church has become passionate about the things of this world and has lost the passion for a mighty move of God. It seems that in America it's okay to be passionate about anything, except God.

We speak about revival, say we want revival, but do nothing about it. Revival has become more than nothing but a word, a word that holds no meaning and something that the church has turned away from. People say we live in a different world, times have changed and we're just too busy. I'm so thankful that Jesus doesn't make excuses like us! He didn't make excuses to not be crucified for us, He doesn't tell me He's too busy in my time of need and He doesn't change! He's the same yesterday, today and forever! No matter what happens in this world, no matter how much it changes, no matter life's demands and no matter how "busy" we allow ourselves to be we cannot lose sight of God. We need revival, in America and all over the world! Revival starts with passion, a passion for God, a passion for truth and a passion to draw nigh unto Him!

Let us not forget 2 Timothy 3:1-6 "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

The church must have revival!! Psalm 85:6 "Wilt thou not revive us again:
that thy people may rejoice in thee?"
